Working class Cornish lad, Phil has big dreams. Not massive, destructive, greedy dreams – there are no yachts involved, no millionaire’s highlife, no world domination. He dreams of owning his own home , of providing security and a comfortable living for his wife and two children. This dream isn’t some wild fantasy conjured-up out of some over-inflated sense of entitlement. As the son of a hard working taxi driver and the youngest of several much older siblings in the building trade, he has the skills, the work ethic and the knowledge required to achieve it. Phil suddenly finds himself embroiled in a conspiracy of lies, misinformation, misdirection, manipulation and downright corruption as be battles a local protest group fired-up by his unfathomable neighbour, the local council who are more concerned with placating the protestors than with serving justice, and a legal system served by those better suited to standing in the dock than representing, and fleecing, their clients. But Phil is no pushover, and he’s loathe to give up everything he has worked so hard for without a fight. But, in the end, who will be the winner? This is a true story of what can happen to any one of us should the wrong person make it their mission to unravel our dreams and we find that the established systems of our civilisation can’t be relied upon to save us.
